Visit to Estonian Genome Centre – Research in Estonia

Estonian Genome Centre (University of Tartu) and Estonian Research Council invite you to an exciting 2 hour visit to the Estonia Biobank. In the new building of Estonian Biobank you can see the DNA extraction labs, liquid nitrogen storage containers for samples of 52 000 Estonian gene donors, a custom made pipetting robot, the biggest server of Estonian public sector and top-level genome analysis instruments from USA. The new building (4 600 m2) was  opened in spring 2012 and is home also for government research facility – Estonian Biocentre and Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology of  University of Tartu. In addition to that, Estonian Genome Center’s Senior Researcher Krista Fischer will give you a presentation “Doing TOP-level science in Estonia – is it possible?” .
