Seminar on Norwegian TTO system and its experiences

Estonian Research Council in cooperation with the University of Tartu is organising a technology transfer (TTO) seminar in Tartu on 7th June at Dorpat Conference Centre. The aim of the seminar is to introduce Norwegian experiences on TTO and discuss options for Estonia. The seminar is mainly targeted at TTO officials at universities and science parks and entrepreneurial minded scientists and other entrepreneurs, but everyone interested is welcome as well.

The programme comprises an overview of Norwegian TTO system presented by senior advisor Ketil Rønning from Norwegian Research Council; knowledge transfer expert and lO lawyer from Norwegian Universtiy of Science and Technology, Morten Øien, will open up European perspective on TTO-s and Vice-Rector for Development at the University of Tartu, Erik Puura, will talk about the real keys in companies and scientists partnership. Besides that, professor Mart Ustav, renowned scientist, founder and CEO of biotechnology company Icosagen, will share his own experiences within Estonian TTO system and when connecting scientific and business challenges. Besides lectures there will also be two discussions where everyone could bring in ideas what Estonia could learn from Norwegian experiences and how to get the best synergy between scientist and entrepreneur.

The seminar will be in English and without registration fee. However, as the number of participants is limited (max 35), please register by 03.06.16.
